Tendring Community Energy Limited is a Community Benefit Society established to develop and manage renewable energy projects that directly benefit the people and communities of Tendring.
We believe the transition to cleaner energy should benefit everyone. That means helping households reduce their energy costs today while developing locally owned renewable energy that can provide environmental, social and economic benefits for generations to come.

What is a Community Benefit Society?
A Community Benefit Society is an organisation established to operate for the benefit of the wider community rather than for private profit.
Members help shape the organisation and elect a board responsible for managing the society. This gives local people a democratic voice in how community energy develops.
Any surplus generated by our activities can be reinvested into projects and initiatives that provide further community benefit.
